North Westy has become what it is today due to our trusting and loyal customers who took a chance on the little guy out of his home garage, and helped push us into our commercial buildings with the confidence of success. To show our appreciation to our customers, we’ve created this page to share their business’s and creative minds with you.
Joe & Dana (& Bella too) have been our long time friends who started their business Das Mule providing invaluable Rock Sliders to your vans. They are now venturing out into the vast world of overlanding and can help you with preparation for your next adventure (with or without a Syncro).

Chris Weber is a phenomenal photographer who had us repaint his Syncro and allow us to use some of his exquisite photos on our website. Check out more of his work at his website:

Mark Kang-O’Higgins is one of our original customers who had the pleasure of experiencing North Westy when Kirk was working out of his home still. Mark is an art professor as well as accomplished artist living in the Seattle area.

Kari Egan drove into our home driveway from Utah with hopes of having a high top conversion. But, what ended up happening was trading all the interior of her van into a different van due to lack of structural integrity. Her business happened by accident, but we are so proud and excited that she ran with it. Let her “cartoonize” your pooch!

We had the pleasure of meeting Richard Kimbrough at Syncro de Mayo, who like all “poor” souls, fell in love with two of our Chihuahuas, ChiChi & Monty. (They’re syncronized drivers) Richard is a well published photographer, who I believe likes to specialize in Roller Derby and VW Bus’s. Richard is located in the greater Phoenix, AZ area but does extensive traveling for his work.

Antonio has been Kirk’s long time friend, or as they put it: “brothers from another mother”. Which only makes it fitting that our shop is right across the street from his restaurant. So, if you want true, authentic Mexican food with all the flavor and spice, Casa Durango can’t be beat. Plus, if you tell him you’re friends with us, he’ll usually give you a discount!

Our friends at Whole Health Chiropractic have been loyal friends and customers, despite the fact none of them own a vanagon! They’re located in Issaquah and provide exceptional service and relaxing massages. Think about making an appointment with them next time you drop your van off with us, your body will thank you for it.
