North Westy Starter Adapter For Automatic Transmission

Designed by North Westy and produced locally these adapters allow the use of the Bosch SR0408X 2kw Diesel starter or the shorter SR0425X Starter to be used on the Vanagon transmission bell housing. Slight modification to the starter holes required for fitment, this is illustrated in one of the product photos. Using this adapter keeps the solenoid in the stock location which is important in a Syncro with the battery cable to tank strap clearance. This has been designed to ensure proper tooth engagement between the starter and flywheel. Perfect for any Vanagon with an engine conversion or even a stock Engine. Includes New Starter bolts, and the required pigtail for the new starter.
